As a Production Supervisor (Flexible Shift) with Trane Technologies, you will use your passion for quality and cost effectiveness in manufacturing to help lead our team in Vidalia, GA . You will monitor and coordinate the daily operation of a high-volume, lean manufacturing environment, and partner with other department leads/supervisors to achieve team and plant goals. \n

This position has been designated as On-Site and is considered Safety Sensitive.

Work Schedule: 

\n

This role is a flexible schedule role. You may be scheduled for 1st shift (6am - 2pm), 2nd shift (2pm -10pm), or 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am).

\n

\n

What you will do:

\n

\n
• Responsible for overall performance of the team, focusing on safety, quality, cost, time, and output.
\n
• Supervise materials usage to ensure a smooth production flow.
\n
• Support ongoing plant programs and goals by identifying opportunities for process improvements.
\n
• Collaborate with other department supervisors/leaders in Operations, Quality, HR, Finance, Materials, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
\n
• Regularly communicate goals and plant-wide initiatives with the leadership team and all members.
\n
• Engage in training, development, and fostering positive employee relations.
\n
• The skills you will need to be successful from day one (with functional examples) include the below:
\n
• Adaptability: Managing conflicting demands, shifting priorities based on production needs, and adjusting plans to maintain efficiency and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
\n
• Coaching: Providing guidance and feedback to production associates, helping them improve performance through training and development initiatives and having performance improvement conversations.
\n
• Communication: Communicating updates, ensuring smooth production operations, and serving as a link between leadership and production teams for critical decision-making.
\n
• Critical Thinking: Evaluating alternative solutions during process improvements and solving production-related problems to enhance efficiency.
\n
• Interpersonal Skills: Collaborating with various department supervisors, resolving team conflicts, and maintaining effective working relationships within the plant.
\n
• Leadership: Guiding teams in achieving production goals, implementing plant-wide communication, and motivating teams to adhere to safety, quality, and cost targets.
\n
• Problem Solving: Identifying production-related issues and implementing process improvements to ensure consistent output quality and adherence to safety regulations; supporting plant goals such as units per man hour, safety and 5S, TAKT attainment, and cost as measured by overall plant performance.
\n

What you will bring:

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
\n
• Previous manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience
\n
• Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills
\n
• Effective communication skills that demonstrate a supportive team member
\n

Compensation:

\n

Base Salary Rate: $59,000 - $95,000 -  Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
