The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Sow Farm Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team in maintaining a high-performing, well-managed sow herd. This role combines hands-on animal care with people leadership and requires someone who takes pride in keeping a farm running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

What Youll Do

• Oversee day-to-day sow farm operations, including breeding, farrowing, and weaning.
• Lead, train, and support employees to drive performance, safety, and teamwork.
• Monitor sow and piglet health, respond to concerns quickly, and partner with veterinarians on herd health protocols.
• Plan and manage breeding schedules, production targets, and pig flow.
• Keep accurate records of production, chores, and staff schedules.
• Enforce strict biosecurity and safety standards to protect herd health and farm integrity.
• Coordinate feed, supplies, and equipment needs with management and vendors.
• Work alongside employees in daily chores, modeling high standards for the team.
• Manage and oversee employee housing.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license required
• Physically able to work in a barn environment and perform hands-on tasks
• Prior experience in swine production required, sow farm experience strongly preferred
• Previous management or lead role in a sow operation preferred
