The Warehouse Assistant supports warehouse operations by performing a range of tasks including receiving, storing, and shipping goods. This role involves managing inventory, preparing orders, and ensuring that the warehouse is organized and maintained according to company standards.

Essential Duties, Roles & Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring they match the purchase orders and are in good condition.
• Properly store items in designated locations within the warehouse, following organizational procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
• Locate and pick items from the warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
• Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring that items are protected during transit and that packing lists are accurate.
• Update inventory records, log incoming and outgoing shipments, and document any issues or discrepancies.
• Report any damaged or missing items to the supervisor and assist in resolving issues.

Qualifications, Education & Training

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is advantageous but not always required.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and company vehicle, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a busy warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items, and perform physically demanding tasks.
